Event Details
Join us for an exciting Nature Talks event at the Library! We’re diving into ‘The Position of the Sun & Stars’ with Associate Professor Bill Zealey, a star physicist from the University of Wollongong.
Discover how we map & understand the stars’ locations & distances & unravel the mysteries of our Milky Way galaxy & Solar System.
You will discover how our ability to make and catalogue stellar positions and distances helps us understand both our Milky Way galaxy and Solar System. You’ll learn that far from living in a stable galaxy we have experienced massive collisions with nearby companion galaxies and find the truth about what lies at the core of the Milky Way.
Don’t miss out on the fun! Mark your calendars for Thursday, 17 August from 6pm at the Shellharbour Civic Centre! Please reserve your place here bit.ly/43FNXvr.
