Character Design Workshop for Teens with Dani Franza at The Waterfront Shell Cove

Event Details

In this session we will explore character personality and backstory
through a movie character matching-game, which will spark their
imagination to start thinking about their own characters’ personality and backstory.
After that, they will play a face-feature and body-part cutting and
pasting game that will help them understand how to create different characters by just changing the placement of their body parts. To learn about Shape Language (the response that different shapes have in the human psyche), tweens will identify the most prominent shapes in a fun drawing game. Lastly, after learning their meaning, they will assign a main shape to their character, depending on its personality.
After all this preparation, they will have time to sketch and colour the characters they have designed.
