The extensive 2.5km of boardwalks and promenades run along the full circumference of the harbour to the end of the break wall making this an ideal place to take leisurely walk. The foreshore around the boat harbour includes green open spaces and a netted beach where the little kids can play in the sand and splash in the water.
Just a little south of the Waterfront precinct you will find Bass Point Reserve, a water paradise for scuba divers and snorkelers alike. The coastal walk along the northern edge of the reserve will take you via little coves and hidden beaches. Bushrangers Bay aquatic reserve is protected from fishing and home to some wonderful marine life.
Killalea Regional Park is known for its famous surfing beach ‘The Farm’, with its south easterly direction the waves are almost always pumping, so it’s no wonder it has been declared a National Suring Reserve and holds the title as 2024’s second best beach in Australia! The coastal reserve is a fabulous place for picnics, coastal walks and to just relax and enjoy the views Killalea is a magical spot and a must-visit!
