🚁 Huey 703 Touches Down at Shellharbour! 🚁
History takes flight! Former Australian Defence Iroquois Huey 703 is making a special visit to the HARS Aviation Museum at Shellharbour Airport this Saturday, 15 February. Arriving from Nowra around 10 AM and departing by 2 PM, this legendary helicopter has a rich history dating back to the Vietnam War.
Originally purchased by the RAAF’s 9 Squadron in July 1970, Huey 703 served as both a gunship and a troop transport ("slick") during its time in Vietnam. 9 Squadron operated in Vietnam from 1966 to 1971, playing a crucial role in combat and support missions.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see a piece of aviation history up close!
